The fragrance of oil paint permeated Lea's soul evoking childhood images of her father at his easel. Strongly influenced by these memories, painting became a part of Lea's emotional existence in Brooklyn, N.Y.
After raising her family Lea relocated to Arizona where she opened a Day Spa incorporating her artistry to become a very successful make-up artist, and continued to paint in her spare time. She became an active member of The Arizona Artist Guild and The Sonoma Artist League. Although mostly self-taught, Lea has an innate sense and passion for color. She continues to study with master artists, and truly believes that learning is a life-long quest. In the year 2000 Lea's new residence became South Florida.
Her paintings develop spontaneously at the easel from her soul. The purity of her talent is reflected in the uniqueness and ethereal quality of each painting. Her unusual and brilliant style shows her understanding and sense of color and composition to be extraordinary. Lea's passion for art, nature, and humanity are very apparent in all her work.
